Sheltering my heart,

From malicious rabblement,

I'm my umbrella!

Defending solemnity,

I self sustain my fancies.

Day 15 word prompt is “IF —– WERE AN UMBRELLA!”

Suggested Form – Free verse to answer questions like – What protects you like an umbrella? What shields you? What covers you?

I yet again aimed at writing a TANKA to challenge myself to fit in “what protects me like an UMBRELLA” in just 5 lines and 31 syllables. Hope I did justice!
