How Will I Know?

My crippled heart is numb, 
My fractured dreams are shattered,
My hapless tears are dry, 
My overwhelmed soul is battered.

Anticipating your nuzzling affliction, 
On a bed of nails I perpetually wait,
Craving your valuing adoration,
I cuss and curse my catastrophic fate.

Tell me, did I not give in my best?
Oh why, oh why, did it not catch your attention yet?
How can you "smile" when all I do is speculate?
Was it LOVE? Or is it HATE?

How will I know?

    The poise with which you presented the
    niggling questions between love and hate is marvellous ❤️

    It’s quite the agony being stuck in the unknown, he loves he loves me not, she loves me she love me not… the frustration of all of it is very nerve racking

    Ps- I’m quite the foolish one you know, I saw the title and immediately started sing that song by Whitney 🤦🏽‍♀️
