May I Ask?

This post is in response to July Writing Prompts by A Slapdash Talk.

Today’s prompt is – “May I” and this poem of mine is an attempt to address all the nay-sayers and haters out there! Understand, your negative talk does no good to anyone!

For my friends who feel bogged down at times by this cruel world, I say – Life has abundant insightful lessons to teach – learn them your way, at your own pace. Embrace your individuality. Your job isn’t to be understood or to impress others. It’s to be at peace with God and treat others as yourself, regardless of what they think of you. Let your unique light shine out from within and DARE TO BE DIFFERENT! It’s time that the World sees your “true colors” – the colors of self-love, self-confidence, self-esteem and inner strength. Walk your own path and don’t compromise your beliefs for anyone. Take the first step and never turn back!

  1. Dear friend,

Yes, there are such people who always have to critisize, who know things better and come with prejudices. They hide their own fear and weakness, trying to appear strong.
Friedrich Nietzsche once said: “They attack to hide that they are attackable…”

    Thanks for sharing, my friend
    All good wishes
    Didi
