Failure, My Friend!

iScriblr_failure

Hey Everyone! I hope y’all are having a great day. It’s time to kill the blues with some Real Talk and MOTIVATION!

FAILURE – a word that we all dread and experience! Yes, everyone fails in life! *bitter truth*

As humans, quite naturally – when we think about failure, we think of things in a very negative light. For us mortals – failure is an agonizing ordeal and causes irreparable emotional havoc, inflicting painful stings of guilt, regret, and remorse. It’s the end of the road, the cul-de-sac!
Sure, failing hurts. In fact, it slits deep like a blade, shredding its way to our deepest core. Yet, it’s necessary!

“When you take risks you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.”
Ellen DeGeneres

Trust me folks, had it not been for the failures that we’ve faced in life, you and me wouldn’t be “what” we are today – resilient and spirited, ready for life and it’s challenges! Failure and its valuable lessons – develop in us a deeper understanding of life – making us better, wiser and stronger.

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
Thomas A. Edison

WHAT YOU THINK FAILURE DOES

1 Failure makes the goals seem less attainable.
2 Failure also distorts your perceptions of your abilities.
3 Failure makes you believe you’re helpless.
4 A single failure experience can create an unconscious “fear of failure.”
5 Fear of failure often leads to unconscious self-sabotaging.

WHAT FAILURE IN REALITY SERVES

Confession time – I have failed more times than I’d like to admit! From disasters to catastrophes, I have lived (and survived) through it all! But through those failures I learned some important lessons – lessons of life, survival and success!
Though all the turmoil – I recognized, that life is designed for us to grow and improve and failures are just natures way to carve us into the “diamonds” that we really are.
Today, I would never take my failures back. I would never unwind the clock and alter my past. I would never undo my failures and I can almost assure you that the most successful people in the world wouldn’t do so either! While failure hurts at the time, it’s part of life’s design – a celestial chisel.
With every mistake that I made, I realized, that failure is just a stepping-stone, a springboard launching me into inevitable success, and I – made failure my friend!

“You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.”
Johnny Cash

“No human ever became interesting by not failing. The more you fail and recover and improve, the better you are as a person. Ever meet someone who’s always had everything work out for them with zero struggle? They usually have the depth of a puddle. Or they don’t exist.”
Chris Hardwick

Once you befriend failure and the pain that comes along with it, you realize and comprehend – that failure “helps” to redefine your priorities in life, “shapes” what you value, makes you more compassionate and “develops” in you the new ways to cope with your emotions. Mistakes not only teach us to take responsibility, but they also instill in us the faith to accept our imperfections and face our fears. Remember, facing mistakes often takes us straight to the heart of our apprehensions, and when we experience and face those dreads heroically, they for sure, disappear. *tried and tested*

So, ignore the nay-sayers and realize it isn’t the end of the road! Don’t just give up on yourself yet! Remember – It’s okay to fail. But it’s not okay to give up! Embrace your failures and shortcomings because they not only make us uniquely who we are, but also teach us powerful life lessons. Make failure your friend and imbibe in yourself the faith of overcoming any obstacles. Be brave and believe in yourself and let no defeat side-track you from your path to success! We all have it in ourselves to be better than today, the aim is to trust our instincts, wise up and go for it!

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
Paulo Coelho

Here’s to accomplishing goals and attaining our purpose, no matter how high the wall!

Love,

  8. Very true, I believe that failure is one of the key lessons in life, that teaches us the ins and outs, the what to do and what not to do….

It also makes us even more determined to excel at whatever it is that was so challenging to us,( well only if you choose to not wallow in it )

No one should ever feel embarrassed or down because they tried something and it didn’t work out, we should always keep at it and keep going.

    1. You are absolutely right sweetie! Failure is just a stepping stone that paves your way to brighter future! It just directs us to places where our true calling lies! 🙂
