ABOUT THE TAG

Every Friday Jenna will post a questionnaire, photos, quotes and/or a poem on a specific “topic” taking us back in time. Today’s travel through time will take you back to the MEMORABLE BOOKS FROM CHILDHOOD that have always held a special place in your heart.

Let’s turn back in time and get the fun started –iScriblr_reading

To be honest, I have been an avid reader all my life! Crazily enough, my fascination with reading started when I was just 6 – with my Papa buying me all sorts of “gorgeous-looking” books and encyclopedias. (Can’t blame him, he wanted me to be the WISE one! Ha!) Well, my favorite out of the lot was Hamlyn’s Giant All-Color Book of Fairy Tales – vibrant and prismatic, it was indeed my “prized possession” for a pretty long time, until I grew up – to read (and realize) the likes of Jim Corbett, PG Wodehouse and Enid Blyton. The House Of Horrors – Three Line Tales

"It's a steal Jack! Who sells a f*****g 5 bedroom,
3.5 acre lake-view mansion for just $250K?"
said an over enthusiastic Ally,
her obvious excitement over the rooftop,
as she signs the dotted line.

It was a dream property
that they couldn't have afforded in a million years,
had it not been for a sudden drop in its price

 Alas, year 2069 AD marks an annulment of literature by the "mass media",
where the books are outlawed,
and any allurement of libraries is extinct!

80% Deaf in one ear because her boy friend punched her a little too hard,
she was an obvious failure at life and love.

Slumbering in homeless shelters, "poor" and famished,
she doubted if ever she would rise up?

Hers was a life void of any riches, fortune and means;
working several jobs to meet ends,
she declined to give up, she was determined.

In her heart she everlastingly carried a self-belief;
fighting her battles and challenging the doubters,
she raised a STORM at The X-Men Series.

From picking up a "Razzie" for the worst actress
to conquering the "Oscars" as the best,
this is the story of a champion,
this is a memoir of the brightest.
