Sending Out A SOS!

Hey Everyone! Hope you all are doing well? Well, things aren’t as rosy this side! *sad face*

I was supposed to write a post that talked about my recent face-off with the “AToZ Challenge 2019” – ponder upon the ups and downs of it, remark on what an amazing experience it was and THANK y’all for being so supportive and encouraging! But instead, here I’m (literally in tears) sending out a SOS!

It seems like I have “unintentionally” without any clue and knowledge UN-FOLLOWED many of you! All thanks to WORSTPRESS! Trust me y’all, if I was following you, there had to be a valid reason for it (coz I really like what you do/write!), and I just wouldn’t un-follow you out of the blue, and no reasons!

What I fail to understand is WHY? Why would WP think that it’s OK to delete me as a follower from your blog? Did I do anything wrong? *bawling my eyes out*

So folks, I am requesting y’all to keep a check on your followers and post me a note/comment (or shoot me an e-mail at iscriblr@gmail.com) if you find me MIA from your blog. In the meantime, I will be raising a ticket with WP to get to a reason and resolution for it.

  5. Richa, you are not the only one that this unpleasant thing happened to, trust me! It seems a great number of bloggers here are suffering from blogger abduction. WP Alliens have sent the mother ship and plucked a number of followers from many of us.
    I hope the problem gets resolved very soon for you, Dear. Hang tough! 💗

  11. That sucks! I’m so sorry they did this to you, Richa. ☹️ It seems WP is having a lot of problems lately. If it’s not problems with commenting on other’s posts, it’s not letting us like posts. I really wonder if the changes they are making to the site are the cause for so many mishaps.

  21. Occasionally, I get unfollowed or have someone I follow get disconnected from. It seems to be an occasional issue with WP. Blessings!

  33. Weird things happen ! Sometimes I’ve written extensive comments but WordPress or Blogger have failed to post/record them ! Use your Reader on WordPress, to visit sites you follow and to comment. Save the sites you want to follow in your browser and visit them. Leave your email address on the blogs you would like to follow.

  37. It’s WP, that’s why! They stress me out on the daily. My current glitch is that it shows that I’m following certain blogs, but never will they show up on my feed! Grrr…. :/ x

  38. I did notice that you started following me today I think. I thought it was a bit odd but sometimes WordPress also unfollows me from some without me doing anything. But just a couple of times have happened. So I figured it happened to you. Stop tears stop!!!

  40. Sometimes it happens mistakenly, I guess. I thought I followed you but I see “follow.” So I’m clicking it to “following.” I don’t know if you follow me though.

  41. Strange. I just commented and clicked “Post Comment” but it doesn’t show up! Also, I’ve tried to click “follow” button but it doesn’t seem working right!

      2. You are not in my recent or old follower list. Also, I’ve tried to follow you again, but when I clicked on “follow,” email form appears as usual which I can’t type in the box! At least we can read our posts and click “like.” 😊

          2. Still, I have a problem with clicking on “follow” on your site. They don’t let me type in the box for email. I’ll try again.

        2. Looks like either it auto-fills your email id or if you try and type your email – the font is “white” colored and hence you don’t see it. I so appreciate you trying for it!🙏

    1. I have a self-hosted site on WordPress.org and when I’d gotten into the “blogging” business per say, WP was one of the best platforms! I guess, not any more!😭😭

  45. That’s so strange! Last year somehow my email notifications turned off and I had to go through all these support people on WordPress to figure out how to turn it back on! I hope you get this solved and your able to follow everyone again! 🙂

  48. And sometimes people just disappear in the reader, even though they’re still posting and I’m still following, I can see them. Weird! Gald you’re still here though 🙂 Hope you tracks all you need to.

  56. So many people have been dealing with this! I’ve dealt with it too but not as much as many others. For me it’s bee a problem with subscriptions and not getting notifications. So many people I’ve not read because of it but I’m watching my reader carefully now. WORSTPRESS lol

  57. So sorry to hear this. Some of the comments to my site have ended up in my spam folder, and I guess that’s happened to others also. I don’t know what’s going on, but I guess we have to keep checking things on our own. I see now that I’m unfollowing you! Wasn’t my doing. I’ll just click it back. So strange.

  62. Noooo, stupid WP! I’ve had issues with my comments going straight to spam folders, but that’s been an issue with Akismet as a lot of people use that for managing spam. I felt very unloved too! I’m not sure how to see if you’re following me (I’m not THAT tech-savvy apparently). I’ve no idea what’s caused this issue for you – hope they get it resolved asap & stop it from happening again.xx

  65. Well, My Dear, this seems to have happened to a lot of us!! I found this happened to me weeks ago, but at least for me, it did not seem to disconnect me from the blog I was following, that’s the good news. I still received the Daily Digest of the site I followed. It seems that the disconnect only shows when you read a post on a blog. It asks you to follow even though you are still following. I just reclick follow and move on. As I said, for me, it did not seem to disconnect me. Check it out and see if that is the same for you?? So sorry for all the anxiety from WP!! Have a great weekend!

  68. I think similar things happen to me. I wonder if some of my follows are removed as well. I have difficulty keeping up with them anyway and need to have a system to help me keep up with all the posts. I miss seeing and commenting on so many and desire to engage more. 🤔

  70. Hi Richa, Inkdrop Calling….I think I may have found the reason WP has been giving you grief…What Browser are you using? If its Edge/MS Explorer , there’s No problem with your site – for you are using a nice secure browser, the latest version of Google chrome on the other hand – Is behaving like an over protective nanny – reporting back its “Not secure” – this is not your fault….its a fault of the browser you are using to publish to….

  71. Must be because of new updates! At one point some blogs don’t appear on my WP unless I go on their blog in a different way. Hope it’s working now!
