3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag : Day 3 (Musical)

Hey Everyone! How you doin’?

This is the third (and the last) of 3 days, 3 Quotes Tag for which I was nominated by Winne from Musings. It is indeed really wonderful to be a part of a movement that inspires, motivates and instigates self belief and positivity (specially when the quotes are “musically inspired!”)

PS – I still have two more 3 days, 3 Quotes Tags to cover, so “I’ll be back!”

MY QUOTE FOR DAY 3

iScriblr_bob-marley

“The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.”
– Bob Marley

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Robert Nesta Marley, OM (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981) was a Jamaican singer-songwriter who became an international musical and cultural icon, blending mostly reggae, ska, and rock-steady in his compositions. Starting out in 1963 with the group the Wailers, he forged a distinctive song-writing and vocal style that would later resonate with audiences worldwide. After the Wailers disbanded in 1974, Marley pursued a solo career upon his relocation to England that culminated in the release of the album Exodus in 1977, which established his worldwide reputation and elevated his status as one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, with sales of more than 75 million records!
Diagnosed with acral lentiginous melanoma in 1977, Marley died on 11 May 1981 in Miami at age 36. He was a committed “Rastafari” who infused his music with a sense of spirituality. He is also credited with popularising reggae music around the world, serving as a symbol of Jamaican culture and identity.
“Exodus”, Waiting in Vain, “Jamming”, “Is This Love”, “Satisfy My Soul” and “One Love” are few of his hit singles that rocked the world.

MY TAKE ON THE QUOTE

All of us are born to live the lives destined for us and all of us really try to make the best of it. So what’s the difference between “us” and “them”? What makes you a better person? A better human?
Well, for me, the difference lies in – how “positively” you have impacted your surroundings. There are some who aim for the wealth and there are a few who desire for the “worldly bliss” and I guess this is what makes you unique! When you strive towards creating progressive and optimistic environment and aim for making a positive change in the life of others, that is when you become affluent and rich in true sense.
Lend a hand, spread a smile, encourage a friend, stick up for good, do your bit, volunteer for a cause – trust me, there are many ways to stockpile your savings account at the “GOODWILL” bank!

  1. Without a doubt, let’s spend our time helping each other. My autocorrect is acting too smart. I’t suggesting: “Bob Marley and the Wailers discography” and “Exodus (Bob Marley & the Wailers album)” 😮 Let’s help each other, but let’s make it useful! 😂

  2. I loved ‘MY TAKE ON THE QUOTE’. ‘When you strive towards creating progressive and optimistic environment and aim for making a positive change in the life of others, that is when you become affluent and rich in true sense.’ Very true just beautifully stated!
