MY QUOTE FOR DAY 2

iScriblr_eminem

“It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life,
And it’s as though you feel you’ve died because you’ve been killed inside.
But yet you’re still alive which means you must survive!”

– Eminem

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), known professionally as EMINEM, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, record executive, and actor.
With 47.4 million albums sold in the US and 220 million records globally, he is among the world’s best-selling artists of all time and is consistently cited as one of the greatest and most influential artists in any genre. Additionally, he is the only artist to have eight albums consecutively debut at number one on the Billboard 200!
After his debut album Infinite (1996) and then Slim Shady EP (1997), Eminem signed with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment and subsequently achieved mainstream popularity in 1999 with The Slim Shady LP, which earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. His next two releases, 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002’s The Eminem Show, were worldwide successes, with each being certified diamond in U.S. sales, and both winning Best Rap Album Grammy Awards — making Eminem the first artist to win the award for three consecutive LPs! They were followed by Encore in 2004, another critical and commercial success. Post this, Eminem went on hiatus after touring in 2005, releasing Relapse in 2009 and Recovery in 2010 and yeah, both did win him Grammy Awards! Eminem’s eighth album, 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, won two Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album, expanding his record for the most wins in that category and his Grammy total to 15 (out of total 43 nominations!) In 2017, he released his ninth studio album, Revival, yet another obvious record breaker!
From turbulent childhood, marked by poverty and allegations of abuse, broken home, damaged marriage, to one of the greatest and most influential artists in World, EMINEM is for sure the “Rap God!”

MY TAKE ON THE QUOTE

Well, for the one’s who don’t listen to EMINEM, this song is about – not being beaten by setbacks, learning from the mistakes of the past and getting stronger.
Yes, there is nothing in this world that can bring you down folks – life, heartaches, back-stabbers, narcissists, nay-sayers, hardships are all but “lessons” for an optimistic-buoyant future. Every painful moment presents in itself an opportunity to let go of the ache and you have to stand up on your feet and fight back! Always remember, there is no fire bright enough to burn you down and no blaze dazzling enough to torch your dreams! Be the PHOENIX, rise from the ashes!
