Flash Flood Warning

Hey Everyone! Happy Thursday y’all! (Just another day till the weekend! Yay!)

Well, while I was eagerly waiting for the winters to end (yes, I have had enough!), seems like the weather Gods had something else in mind! With a record-breaking rain since February 1949, Memphis (and the Mid-South) had what we call is the “Flash Flood Warning!” With almost 13.43” (which is around 9″ above normal) of rain so far over the span of last few weeks – life for sure, has been gloomy, damp and slushy. Thankfully, Memphis is point 5” away from the flood flight activation trigger, so we are safe for now. (Phew!)

― Anthony T.Hincks

Making most of the little sunshine that we experienced today, I managed to click a few pictures for you all to see. The massiveness and immensity of Mississippi River, brimming in its full glory – is a sight to behold and adore. With submerged trees, swamped walking trails, sunken conduits, drowned saplings, floating planks and invisible tracks – it’s a picture which is both intimidating and impressive at the same time.

Tsunami In Memphis

Hey Everyone! Happy FRIYAY!

Well, it’s been a while that I have written about my travel antics and reviews on restaurants and eating joints. Thanks to the “not-so friendly weather” and “busy work-life balance” I have been all in-doorsy and hibernating, saving up on much-needed body warmth and eagerness! But when it is your 2nd Marriage Anniversary, you dress up, look your dapper best and step-out! And where do you go? Somewhere fancy! Someplace alluring! (Hint! Hint!)

Best Seafood, Most Creative Menu, Best Chef, Best Restaurant! Yes, that is Tsunami for you and that’s where we went to commemorate our wedding anniversary! (Oh yes, when your hubby takes you out for dinner at one of the best restaurants in town, you FLAUNT!)

Confidence Boost

Self-confidence means being in-sync with your capabilities, powers and self-worth regardless of the situation that you are in. It means that you acknowledge your strengths and believe in yourself to achieve your purpose and go for the challenges that the life throws at you, gallantly. It is the “mantra” of certainty and self-belief that makes you stand out of the crowd – self-assured, self-aware and upbeat. Undoubtedly, self-confidence is your “golden-ticket” to the worldly benefits and spiritual boons!

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit”
― E.E. Cummings

FACTS

People with low self-confidence tend to repel people around them. Their limiting mindsets and behavior makes them  unbearable and a “drag” to be around. As per studies – Low self-esteem is a thinking disorder in which an individual views him/herself as inadequate, unlovable, and/or incompetent. Once formed, this negative view permeates every thought, producing faulty assumptions and ongoing self-defeating behavior. It’s a vicious cycle of negativity, low self-esteem and failure that goes on for ever and ever!

GOOD NEWS

The good news is that self-confidence is something you can improve! If you’re feeling less-than-celestial, these simple, actionable tips are for you (for that much-needed confidence boost)

Bye Bye 2017

Hey everyone! Finally, it is December 31st! Last day of the year – new hopes, fresher dreams!

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.”
― T.S. Eliot

Oh, what a difference a year can make! One year ago, on September 1, 2016 I moved to Memphis (TN) Since then, almost everything has changed in my life. With a change in my status from “a career-oriented professional” to “a homemaker” and now “an ambitious blogger” – year 2017 has been a year of aspirations, dreams and yearnings. It’s been a year of “testing waters” and “taking a plunge” – some “bittersweet moments” and some “fun!”

A year ago I was misplaced and distracted. With everything changing so quickly around me, I was confused and dazed. Aimless and unguided, I was lost at my own space. Thankfully, things changed for good! Post some dark clouds and silver linings – 2017 seemed like a year of dreams. Now I am living a meaningful, thoughtful life, where I have a loving family to get home to, a wonderful husband to take care of and a blog that I can work upon. (Phew! What a year!)

From living a lackluster life, to having a website of my own – 2017 has been a wholesome year for me creatively. With 454 followers (since 12th October, 2017), 8,625 views, 2,877 visitors, 4,611 likes and 199 comments – this year has been the year of realizing dreams and working towards my goals with zeal and devotion. It’s been a year where I took the reigns for my future into my own hands and decided to pursue my visions and fancies. From writing about my Personal Stories to taking part in Photo Challenges and documenting my Travel Shenanigans  – 2017 has been eventful, action-packed and memorable!
